SCAN OPERATION

Scan resume
condition
The scan resume condition can be selected as timer, pause
or empty pause scan. The empty pause scan is useful for
finding unused frequencies. The selected resume condition is
also used for priority watch. (p. 42)

Push [SET] one or more times until “SCT” or “SCP” ap-
pears as shown above.
• Cancel the DTMF memory encoder in advance, if necessary.

Rotate the tuning dial to set the desired timer:
• “SCT-15”
: Scan pauses 15 sec. while receiving a signal.
• “SCT-10”
: Scan pauses 10 sec. while receiving a signal.
• “SCT-5”
: Scan pauses 5 sec. while receiving a signal.
• “SCP-2”
: Scan pauses until the signal disappears and
then resumes 2 sec. later.
• “SCT-EP”
: Scan pauses on a frequency that is not busy
and resumes 2 sec. after a signal appears.
