IC-2730A Memory Channel Programming
This programming method uses the front panel keys.
What you will need:
•
Operating frequency
•
Offset direction (Duplex, for repeater use)
•
Subaudible tone frequency for your repeater
Entering a Frequency
1.
Press the Main/Band key to select the side of the display you wish to use (
MAIN
will appear on
the selected side).
2.
Press the [V/MHz/Scan] key to place the radio in VFO mode.
3.
Rotate the dial (for the side of the radio you selected) to enter your frequency.
4.
Press [Menu] to enter the menu selection mode.
Selecting the Repeater Tone
1.
Rotate the dial to select
R TONE
.
2.
Press the Enter key (the key below a backwards-facing arrow: [MW]). You will see
R TONE
to
the left of the display and the value of the subaudible tone on the right side.
3.
Rotate the dial to select the repeater tone.
4.
Press the Enter key.
Turning on the Tone Encoder
Use the dial to select
TONE
and press the Enter key. The letter
T
will appear on the display above the
frequency to show that the tone encoder is enabled.
Setting the offset (DUPLEX)
1.
Press and hold the key labeled [MONI/DUP]. You will see an indication of the Duplex direction
(
-
,
+
or
OFF)
.
2.
Select the offset direction by rotating the dial.
3.
When you have the correct offset direction, press the [MONI/DUP] key again.
