Rekey request function
Normally, the encryption keys are managed and securely
changed by KMF over the air without receiving a Rekey
request.
But the transceiver can control KMF remotely by sending a
Rekey request to perform the rekey operation.
NOTE: If the transceiver does not register to the OTAR
system, it cannot control KMF remotely.
q
Hold down
[Rekey] for 1 second to send a KMM ‘Hello’
command to KMF for a Rekey request.
• “REKEYING PLEASE WAIT” appears.
w
After receiving a Rekey request from the transceiver, KMF
performs the rekey operation.
e
When the rekey operation is successful, “REKEY
SUCCESS” appears.
• If the rekey operation fails, “REKY FAILED” appears.
• If receiving no acknowledgement from KMF, “RQST FAILED”
appears.
D
