7. Load Balancing
The Load Balancing function, that is commonly shared in the selected group, can be used only when Icom’s
wireless access points and the RS-AP3 are used together.
(Default: Disable)
If you “Enable” the Load Balancing setting, this function distributes the loadings according the status of the ac-
cess points or wireless LAN terminals that is included in the regularly received information.
• If “Disable” is selected, the Load Balancing function will not distribute loadings, even if the operating conditions are satis-
fied.
• In order to control the Load Balancing function, the RS-AP3 needs to be connected at all times.
Operating Conditions
If either the amount of connected wireless LAN terminals or the communication volume, or both reach the condi-
tions, the half of the connected wireless LAN terminals will be cut off.
• Amount of wireless LAN terminals may differ depending on the Maximum Number of Stations settings.

Operation
The half of the connected wireless LAN terminals will be cut off in order of the weakest signal, and re-connection
will be inhibited for 60 seconds.
Example:

with Maximum Number of Stations set to 10, cuts off 4 connected wireless LAN terminals in order of the weakest
signal, and re-connection will be inhibited for 60 seconds.
