Work Area Safety
1. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered
benches and dark areas may cause accidents.
2. Do not connect or disconnect the Scanner while
the ignition is on or the engine is running.
3.
DO NOT attempt to operate the Scanner
while driving the vehicle. Have a
passenger operate the Scanner.
4. Before testing a vehicle,
put the transmission
in PARK (for automatic transmission) or
NEUTRAL (for manual transmission). E
ngage
the parking brake and chock the tires.
5. NEVER smoke or allow a spark or flame
in vicinity of battery or engine.

Operating a vehicle indoors CAN KILL
YOU IN MINUTES.
Engine exhaust contains
carbon monoxide. This is a poison you cannot
see or smell. NEVER operate vehicle inside
a home or garage, EVEN IF doors and
windows are open. Only use OUTSIDE and
far away from windows, doors, and vents.
7. Do not operate the Scanner in explosive
atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases, or heavy dust.
