Standard I/O Enable
The 586MBH Industrial standard I/O consists of the two serial ports, the parallel port and floppy
disk controller and ISA IDE. Jumper JP17 is usedto enable or disable these ports.

The PS/2 type mouse port on your 586MBH Industrial uses IRQ 12 as its interrupt request line. To
enable the interrupt (default) leave Jumper JP10 on pins 2-3. To disable the interrupt and subse-
quently the mouse controller, move the jumper to pins 1-2.

CMOS Reset
This option is provided as a convenience for those who need to reset the CMOS registers. It should
always be set to “Normal” for standard operation. If the CMOS needs to be reset turn off the
system, move JP9 to 2-3, turn the system on, move JP9 back to 1-2 and reset the motherboard.
