The Password Checking option in the Advanced Setup program al-
lows you to specify when the password prompt displays: Always or
only when Setup is attempted. The password may be changed using
the Password icon in the Security window of the WinBIOS Setup
Main Menu. If the password is null, the password prompt does not
display at any time. A more detailed description of the password
setup function may be found under SECURITY in the Running
WinBIOS Setup section of this manual.
When password checking is enabled, the following password prompt
displays:
Enter CURRENT Password:
Type the password and press <Enter>.
NOTE: The null password is the system default and is in effect if a
password has not been assigned or if the CMOS is corrupted. In this
case, the password prompt does not display. To set up a password,
you may use the Password icon in the Security window of the
WinBIOS Setup Main Menu. (See the Running WinBIOS Setup sec-
tion of this manual.)
If an incorrect password is entered, the following screen displays:
