Remove the storage device with the use of the eject procedure of the computer operating
system.
2. Switch off the player.
3. Insert the storage device on a free storage device connector of the player that is not used by the
Main Media.
4. Switch on the player. The startup of the player will last as long as the update procedure will require
it.
5. When the player boot up is finished, remove the update storage device.
Note:
the Main Media can be used instead of a third-party storage device, but all the files
necessary to the Script will have to be removed manually after the update.
. Setup the FTP Client Presets
The “FTP Client” setup is necessary when the management of the Main Media content is done with the
embedded FTP clients in “Synchronization” or in “Script” mode. The setup is composed of:
1. The general settings define the access rights between the FTP client function and all FTP servers
used.
2. 10 presets define an individual access to the folders of FTP servers. Several presets can define the
access to several folders of a same FTP server (e.g.

). A preset can be use in synchronization mode (

), advanced options of inclusions and exclusion of file and folder
can be add.
Setup the FTP client as follow:
Prior to configure the FTP client, be sure that the player is properly connected and accessible through the
network. Please refer to Ethernet Network Connection (page 49) and Ethernet Page of the Web server (Page
81).
1. With a web browser, log on to the embedded web server of the player with the administrator account.
2. Click on
FTP Client
.
3. Setup the general settings
Considering the specifications of the FTP servers used the general settings may require changes.

Waiting time before
reconnecting
Set the wait time before reconnecting the drive to the FTP server when the
connection has been interrupted.
Number of attempts
Set the number of attempts to connect to the FTP server before leaving the
update operation.
Passive mode
Enable or disable the “Passive mode” of the connection. Usually disable.

Please consider each individual access to a FTP server path. Configure one or more presets.
