USE
The kitchen scales has 3 different main
functions, all of which are described in
more detail below:
Function 1: Scales
•
Switch the kitchen scales on using the
ON/OFF button. The display comes on
and shows "88:88" for 2-3 seconds.
When the scales displays "0.", it is
ready for use.
•
Place what you wish to weigh on the
scales.
•
If you try to weigh something that
weighs more than 3 kg, the display
shows "Err". The scales can only weigh
items up to 3 kg.
NB:
The kitchen scales switches off
automatically after approximately 3
minutes.
Zeroing (TARE button)
The scales has a practical zeroing function
(the TARE button), which you can use if you
want to weigh something (e.g. flour) in a
container or similar. Do as follows:
•
Place the container on the scales.
•
The container’s weight is now
displayed, but as this is not relevant in
this situation, press the TARE button to
zero the scales.
•
You can now weigh the required
quantity of flour in the container.
Switching between kg and pounds
There is a small slide control on the rear of
the kitchen scales which you can use to
switch the kitchen scales display between
kilo (kg) and pounds (lb). The scales must
be switched off and on again for the
change to come into force.
Switching between grams and ounces
(the g/oz button)
You can switch between grams and ounces
or vice versa using the g/oz button.
Function 2: Roasting thermometer
•
Switch the kitchen scales on using the
ON/OFF button. The display comes on
and shows "88:88" for 2-3 seconds.
When the scales displays "0.", it is
ready for use.
•
Place the plug from the roasting
thermometer (5) in the input socket
"PROBE IN" (3) on the scales.
•
In order to activate the roasting
thermometer function, press the TEMP
button once. The display now flashes
and shows 100 (212 for Fahrenheit),
and if you wish, you can now set the
temperature alarm using the arrow keys
and
.
•
Press the TEMP button to start
temperature measurement.
•
In order to interrupt the roasting
thermometer function and go back to
the weighing function, press the TEMP
button again.
NB:
There is a small slide control on the rear of
the kitchen scales which you can use to
switch the kitchen scales display between
degrees Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
Function 3: Timer
•
Switch the kitchen scales on using the
ON/OFF button. The display comes on
and shows "88:88" for 2-3 seconds.
When the scales displays "0.", it is
ready for use.
•
If you press the TIMER button once, the
timer function comes on. "00:00" is
now displayed. The two zeroes to the
left flash, which means you can now set
the required number of minutesusing
the arrow keys
