Performance levels
The ACC 55 offers the choice of three
performance levels specifically designed for
the following situations:
•
Level I
: Especially quiet. Perfect for
operation at night in a nursery or bedroom.
•
Level II
: Ideal for continuous operation with
high air recirculation.
•
Level III
: Quick cleaning with maximum air
recirculation.
About the fragrance container
A fragrance container is included with the
ACC 55. This makes it possible to use
commercially available fragrances, such as
those used for fragrance lamps.
Never add fragrances directly into
the water tank or water tray. Even
small amounts can damage the
plastic on the ACC 55 and will
void the warranty!
Remove the activated carbon filter when
using a fragrance container. Otherwise, the
effectiveness of the fragrances will be
impeded. Reinsert the activated carbon filter
once the fragrances in the fragrance
container have been depleted.
Use of the fragrance container (7 - 9)
• Remove the cover from the top of the
ACC 55.
• Press the fragrance container firmly
together at the markings on the side to
remove the cover.
• Insert the lower part of the fragrance
container into the holder.
• Insert a cotton swab into the fragrance
container and sprinkle it with the fragrance.
• Place the cover back onto the fragrance
container.
Start-up (picture 1 - 6)
• Remove the front cover.
• Remove the protective foil from the activated
carbon filter provided.
• Insert the activated carbon filter into the
holder in the appliance.
• Put the front cover back on.
• Fill both water tanks with cold tap water.
• Plug the power cord into a power outlet and
switch on the ACC 55.
The right location
• Always face the front side of the appliance
into the open room so that the damp air
does not damage walls or any other
sensitive objects.
• Make sure that the air can circulate to all
sides. Do not place any objects on the
ACC 55 for this reason.
The water tray is very flat. Only place
the ACC 55 on a stable, level
surface. Otherwise leaking water may
cause water damage.
Increasing evaporation output
For increased performance in large rooms, you
can increase the evaporation rate by placing
the ACC 55 near a radiator.
Maintain a minimum distance of
30 cm (12 inch) from the radiator.
Never exceed a maximum
temperature of 50 °C (122 °F)!
