6 IDEC SmartRelay memory
cartridge (card)
IDEC SmartRelay allows you to store only one circuit pro-
gram in its memory. If you want to modify the circuit program
or create a further one without deleting the first, you must ar-
chive it somewhere. One of the options is to use a memory
cartridge/card.
The circuit program stored in IDEC SmartRelay can be cop-
ied to a memory cartridge (card). You can then insert the
memory cartridge/card in another IDEC SmartRelay to copy
the circuit program. using the memory cartridge (card), you
can:

Archiving circuit programs
•
Reproducing circuit programs
•
Write and test your circuit program at the office, and then
transfer it to a IDEC SmartRelay in the switching cabinet.
IDEC SmartRelay is supplied with a hood. The memory car-
tridge (card) is supplied separately.
Note
You do
not
need a module to backup the circuit program in your
IDEC SmartRelay.
The IDEC SmartRelay circuit program is automatically stored in
nonvolatile memory when you exit the programming mode.
We shall now introduce the memory cartridge (card) you can
order for IDEC SmartRelay The card can backup all data in
the IDEC SmartRelay circuit program memory.
The type number is found in the appendix.
