PRIOR TO FIRST USE
Remove all packaging materials and inspect the hair straightener and its accessories for damages. Keep all packaging
materials away from children.
Clean this device as described under
Cleaning and Maintenance
. When doing so, also follow the
Safety Instructions

OPERATION
•
Dry your hair completely and brush it through.
•
Make sure that the on/off switch
ON/OFF
[5] is in the
OFF
position.
•
Plug the power plug [4] into a suitable power socket and push the on/off switch
ON/OFF
to the
ON
position. The
power indicator light [6] goes on.
•
The device begins to heat up and will be ready for operation after a short time. Make sure you do not touch the hot
plates (heating elements).
Danger of burns!
•
Only place the device on a solid, flat and heat-resistant surface.
•
Adhere to the following steps
Straightening hair.
•
After use, switch the device off by pushing the on/off switch
ON/OFF
to the
OFF
position and by unplugging the power
plug from the power socket. Let the device cool down completely in a location that is safely out of reach of children.
Avoiding burns
Pay attention to the following diagram indicating the hot surfaces and exercise extreme caution in order to avoid burns.
Straightening hair
•
Separate an approx. 3cm cm wide strand of hair from the rest of your hair and brush it through thoroughly.
•
Place the strand of hair between the plates (heating elements) and press the upper PTC heating element [1] and the
lower PTC heating element [2] together. Only hold the device by the handles [3, 7] provided for this purpose. Never
touch the area right by the heating elements.
Danger of burns!
•
Hold the straightener for a few seconds until the hair has heated up and then pull it, still clamped together firmly,
through your hair from the roots to the tips. Make sure you do not burn your hair and always keep the straightener
approx. 30-50 mm away from your scalp. Do not move the straightener too slowly to avoid overheating.
•
Repeat this procedure until you have reached the desired effect.
