Wireless LAN Module
Symptom
Corrective Action
Cannot connect to the NAS-2108RW through
the wireless LAN.
Open the top cover and
remove the disk drives,
check the wireless cable
connection. Replace the
wireless LAN module. If
the failure persists,
replace the main board.
Main Board
Caution: Replacing the main board will cause the existing configuration
data lost and return to the factory defaults.
Symptom
Corrective Action
After turning on the power, no “beep” is heard
after booting.
Replace the main board.
The system fails to boot successfully.
The LCD panel displays only the date and time.
Connect the console
cables (refer to Appendix
B) to investigate the
system booting process.
If the system reports any
hardware failure, replace
the main board.
After reinstalling system firmware or replacing
the NASWare flash module, the system still not
works well.
Replace the main board.
Cannot connect to the network and the network
LED is off.
Check the network
connection first. If there is
no problem on network
connection, replace the
main board.
