Reminder
Before you remove or install the BMC daughter cards, please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Make sure the server is not turned on or connected to the AC power. To power off
the server, see “2.1.1 Power Off”.
Step 2: Remove the chassis cover. To remove the cover, see “2.2 Chassis Cover”.
Step 3: Disconnect all necessary cable connections.

To remove the BMC daughter card
Lift out the BMC daughter card.

To install the BMC daughter card
Reverse the step above to install the BMC daughter card.
2.14
Optional Riser Cards
The motherboard provides two expansion slots. The expansion slot 1 can support the riser
card with two full-size/full-length PCI-E x8 (x8 socket) and one full-size/full-length PCI-X
64bit/100MHz. The expansion slot 2 can support the riser card with two half-length/low-profile
PCI-E x8 (x8 socket) and one half-length/low-profile PCI-E x4 (x8 socket). The riser card
comes with the system package. The golden fingers of the riser card connect to the PCI slots
on the motherboard.
