REMOVING AND INSTALLING THE CHAIN
Figure 54
C209918a
1.
Remove the two bolts (Item 1) and remove the drive
chain cover (Item 2) [Figure 54].
NOTE:
To help protect the chain, the chain link is
used as a mechanical fuse. The link will
break in case of a sudden bristle stop, or if
broom rotation is abruptly changing from
forward to reverse rotation. Inside the chain
cover is an extra chain link in case of a
damaged or a lost link. Contact your Ignite
Attachments representative for replacement
parts.

2.
Remove the removable chain link (Item 1)
[Figure 55] and remove the drive chain. (You may
need to loosen the motor bolts / nuts (Item 2)
[Figure 56] to allow slack in the chain.)
3.
Install the new drive chain.
NOTE:
Always check sprocket alignment when
greasing, repairing the chain, or replacing
bristles. Misalignment of the sprockets can
cause bearing, shaft, or motor damage.
Damage caused by sprocket alignment
issues may not be covered under warranty.
