FEATURES AND OPERATIONS
2. REMOTE STARTER WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION
The Ignited Remote Performance Starter will allow you to remotely start your vehicle from a distance. For your safety Ignited
has added a
n
“Exit Sequence” to ensure that the car is in neutral and the hand brake is on in order for you to be able to start
the vehicle by remote. It will also allow you to leave your car running for a short period of time after you leave the vehicle in
order to protect the engine from unnecessary ware (Delayed Ignition Kill TM).
PROGRAMMING “EXIT SEQUENCE” FOR REMOTE STARTING (MANUAL TRANSMISSION)
Follow the sequence outlined below when exiting your vehicle to enable the remote starter. The following MUST be
performed without touching the clutch pedal and with all doors closed. This is a safety feature designed to protect your
vehicle from launching forward during remote start.
While car is still running and the key is in the Ignition
1. Press and hold the Brake pedal
2. Set the Emergency brake (Hand Brake)
3. Put vehicle in Neutral
4. Release the brake pedal (Parking lights will flash informing the driver that the system is ready to be start by remote)
5. Remove the key from the ignition (The engine will continue to run)
6. Open the door(s) and exit the vehicle
7. Close the door (The engine will continue to run for a period of 3 seconds after the door is closed)
Remark:
Opening the door after the engine has stopped running will cancel the remote engine starter. If you try to start the
vehicle by remote, the parking lights will flash and the engine will not start. To activate the remote start you must
perform steps 1-7 again.
