Safety regulations
• When adjusting the position of the reclining
module – keep a safe distance to avoid getting
stuck between the recliner and fixed objects in
the immediate area, or to avoid entrapment in
the mechanism and crushing injuries.
• While the position of the reclining module
is moving, the user shall make sure that no
person can be injured and that no object can be
damaged. To avoid the risk of tipping, the recliner
module must not bump against any fixed objects
when reclining.
• Make sure that there is enough space behind the
backrest to fully recline the recliner module.
• When the recliner module is fully reclined – do
not apply any additional load on the footrest and
do not sit or stand on the footrest.
• The sofa/module frame must not be altered or
reconstructed in any way. Upon service or repairs
of the recliner module, the power cord must
always be disconnected from the wall socket.
• The recliner module should not be used as a
hoisting/lifting device for people or objects.
• When the reclining function is not in use, the
module should always be in the fully upright
position. Never leave the recliner in the reclined
position since a child or pet can then crawl under
the sofa.
Maintenance and repair
• If the recliner module does not work – check the
connections between the module’s power supply
and the wall socket as well as the connection
between the power supply and the module’s plug.
• If any part of the electrical system is being
replaced, the power cable must first be
disconnected from the wall socket.
• If any FAMMARP sofa module is being replaced,
the power cable must first be disconnected from
the wall socket.
If the recliner still does not work, please contact
your nearest IKEA store or Customer Service.
NOTE!
Do not try to repair the reclining module by
yourself to avoid the risks that can arise when you
open or disassemble it.
