A
WARNING!
Always keep all sparks, flames and smoking
materials away from the battery charging area. When charging,
batteries generate small amounts of dangerous hydrogen gas
which is highly explosive. Failure to follow instructions when
charging a battery can cause an electrical charge or even an
explosion of the battery. This could result in serious injury or
death.
A
WARNING!
Always follow the boat manufacturer’s instructions
on how to properly winterize the fuel tank prior to storage. Leaking
of fuel into the boat and potentially into the storage area could
result in substantial damage to the boat, and contact with any
spark (such as a flame-producing pilot light in a heater) could also
result in property damage and serious injury or death.
A
WARNING!
Never use jumper cables and a booster battery to
start your engine. Serious injury or death could result from fire or
explosion.
A
WARNING!
Never recharge your battery in the boat. Always
remove the battery for recharging in a well-ventilated area away
from fuel vapors, spark or flame. Failure to do so could result in
serious injury or death from fire or explosion.
A
WARNING!
Always allow the engine to cool down completely
before attempting to service the fuel/water separator filter in order
to avoid fire or explosion. The fuel system is under pressure.
A
WARNING!
Always be sure that the ignition key is in the OFF
position, the main battery power switch is in the OFF position, and
that no spark or flame are present when servicing the fuel/water
separator.
A
WARNING!
Always make sure that no fuel leaks exist and that
the engine compartment is well ventilated with no gasoline vapors
present to avoid fire or explosion hazard before performing any
fuel system maintenance.
A
WARNING!
Be sure that the engine has completely cooled
before removing the pressure cap. The system is under pressure,
and removing the pressure cap without allowing the engine to cool
could cause coolant to boil and discharge violently.
A
WARNING!
Never run your boat underway with the engine hatch
open. Contact with moving parts or trapped air under the hatch
may result in the hatch being blown off or otherwise damaged or
causing damage.
A
WARNING!
Always allow the engine to cool down completely
before attempting to service the high-pressure fuel filter in order to
avoid fire or explosion
.
A
WARNING!
Always be sure that the ignition key is in the OFF
position, the main battery power switch is in the OFF position,
and that no spark or flame are present when servicing the high-
pressure fuel filter
