SNMP Trap Agent Configuration
You can use SNMP to monitor and control network devices as well as manage configurations and
collect statistics. Use either an in-band or an out-of-band IP interface to manage the system with SNMP.
At the BNP, you can configure from one to eight trap addresses; each of which will issue event
notifications to the network management status. You can change this SNMP information at any time.
To Configure SNMP for System Management with SNMP
1.
Assign an IP address to an in-band Ethernet port.
2.
Set the destination IP address to which the traps are forwarded by the system agent.
Use the
SNMP Trap
screen (
) to set up to eight IP addresses for SNMP traps.
