Application
Pleno PI is a pressure-dependent, automatic water make-up device without pump, with FIQ contact
water meter through back flow preventer BA (ST) as defined in EN 1717, for closed heating, solar,
and chilled water systems. Applications other than those described require prior agreement with
IMI Hydronic Engineering. A declaration of conformity is included and certifies compliance with EU
guidelines. Follow the particular regulations at the location where the Pleno Pl is installed.
Follow the instructions
These instructions are apply to Pleno PI starting from serial number 200944470. Installation,
operation, maintenance, and de-installation must be carried out as described in these instructions and
in accordance with best practice. If anything is unclear, please contact IMI Hydronic Engineering’s
Customer Service. The required commissioning tests and periodic inspections must be carried out
according to the regulations applying in the country where the device is installed and operated.
Personnel
Installation and operating personnel must possess the appropriate skills and training.
Place of installation
Access to the place of installation must be restricted to trained and specialised personnel. The floor
statics must be able to support the maximum operating and installation conditions. Connections for
electricity, mains water, and waste water must correspond to the requirements of the device.
Keep to the parameters
Details of manufacturer, year of construction, serial number and technical data are given on the type
plates on the TecBox and expansion vessels. Measures must be taken in linewith regulations to limit
temperature and pressure, i.e. to ensure that the installation does not exceed the maximum and
minimum operating parameters .
Electrical connection
Electrical wiring and connections must be carried out by a trained professional in accordance with
current local regulations. The installation must be shut down before working on any of the electrical
components.
Failure to follow these instructions, particularly the safety instructions, may cause loss of functionality, faults or
even serious damage to the Pleno Pl, and may also result in physical injury. If there has been a failure to follow
these instructions, the manufacturer can no longer accept liability or claims under warranty.
