Start-up
Start-up
We recommend having the initial start-up carried out by your nearest IMI Hydronic Engineering’s customer service. Start-up
services are to be ordered separately and will be charged at the prices specified in the country concerned. The scope of services
is as described in this section.
Requirements
• The services described in the «Installation» section have been completed.
• Electrical power supply is available.
• DN connecting pipes (
:
page 61) must be flushed clean.
• The customer strainer in the DN2 connecting pipe must be cleaned.
• The connected consumer system is ready to operate.
• The pressure maintenance system (e.g. Statico, Compresso, Transfero) is in operation.
• If the water make-up signals are to be evaluated through the RS 485-1 interface, the BrainCube of the sender (Transfero,
Compresso) must be configured for parallel operation (
:
page 67).
BrainCube is self-explanatory
All start-up steps and processes are described on the BrainCube itself. Please follow the instructions given. The following notes
are only to provide additional information.
Switching BrainCube On
Insert mains plug (1.2.1). The BrainCube is ready for start-up. At the initial startup, it displays a «Welcome» message (if there is no
operator action for 4 min., it automatically changes to
standby
with display function only, then to the
menu - Start-up
.
«Welcome» at initial start-up
• Set language, date and time;
Standard languages: de, en, fr, nl,
other languages on request.
Installat. check
• Check the installation.
System parameters
• Set the parameters as desired

• The BrainCube calculates minimum pressure P0 of the system and the
resulting switching points for the TecBox.
• The response pressure of safety valve PSV is checked plausibility.
• Set the BrainCube minimum pressure P0 on the Statico, or the Statico
as pre-set pressure P0 at the heat generators.
