Should detection electrode not detect flame on the burner within 10 seconds from the
beginning of the ignition cycle (E2), the boiler is shut down.
Integrated P.C.B. proceeds with two ignition attempts, lasting 10 seconds each with a
lapse of 30 seconds between each one. After such procedure is completed, the boiler is
shut down.
In order to restart the appliance, turn (R10) main switch to “Reset” and carry out a DHW
or central heating request.
Warning:
reset procedure of malfunctions is available up to 5 consecutive times, after that
the reset function is inhibited for no less than an hour. A reset attempt is earned every
hour or five additional attempts can be made available by setting the boiler to Stand-by (
) or by disconnecting power supply.
No ignition malfunction
When safety thermostat contacts are open, the boiler is shut down.
In order to restart the appliance, turn (R10)main switch to “Reset” and then carry out a
DHW or central heating request.
Safety thermostat
malfunction
(E4)
If pressure switch contacts are open while fan is running, the boiler is shut down.
If normal operation conditions are restored, the boiler starts functioning again without
any reset procedure implementation need.
If they are closed while fan is switched off, it will not enable beginning of the ignition
cycle.
Flue pressure switch
malfunction
(S6)
Pump (M1) and 3-way valve (M30) operate for 30 seconds after :
- 24 hours of boiler inactivity when set to SUMMER mode.
- 3 hours of boiler inactivity when set to WINTER mode.
Pump/3-way valve anti-
block device
When safety thermostat encounters a high resistance (contact not perfectly closed or worn
out), the integrated P.C.B. proceeds with a reset sequence and restarts a different contact
test cycle; if after 6 cycles the problem persists, the boiler is shut down.
In order to restart the appliance, turn main switch (R10) to “Reset” and then carry out a
DHW or central heating request.
Electromechanical contacts
shut down
(safety thermostat)
When any dispersion in the detection circuit occurs or a control flame malfunction takes
place, which generates an ionization current (without gas valve being open) which lasts for
at least 20 seconds, boiler operation is shut down.
In order to restart the appliance, turn (R10) main switch to “Reset” and carry out a DHW
or central heating request.
Parasitic flame malfunction
P.C.B. regularly runs self-tests to ensure it is functioning correctly. When functioning in
central heating mode or when boiler is in Stand-by, the function is enabled every 18 hours
after the last test or last time the boiler was operated.
When operating in DHW mode, self test starts within 10 minutes after DHW is drawn
from the tap and lasts approximately 10 seconds.
Warning:
during self-testing sequence, the boiler and all signaling devices are inactive.
