OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS
Cleaning and Maintenance.
Caution
: it is compulsory for the user to perform at least annual maintenance
of the heating system and at least a bi-annual check of combustion (“flue
test”).
This ensures that the optimal safety, performance and operation
characteristics of the boiler remain unchanged over time.
We recommend the stipulation of an annual cleaning and maintenance
contract with a local technician.
General Warnings.
Never expose the wall-mounted boiler to direct vapours from a cooking
surface.
Use of the boiler by unskilled persons or children is strictly prohibited.
Never touch the flue extraction terminal (if fitted) due to the risk of burning
caused by high temperatures;
For safety purposes, check that the concentric air intake/flue exhaust
terminal (if fitted), is not blocked.
If temporary shutdown of the boiler is required, proceed as follows:
a) drain the heating system if anti-freeze is not used;
b) shut off all electrical, water and gas supplies.
In the case of work or maintenance to structures located in the vicinity of
ducting or devices for flue extraction and relative accessories, switch off
the appliance and on completion of operations ensure that a qualified
technician checks efficiency of the ducting or other devices.
Never clean the appliance or connected parts with easily flammable
substances.
Never leave containers or flammable substances in the same environment
as the appliance.
•
Caution:
use of components involving use of electrical power requires
observance of the following rules:
- never touch the appliance with wet hands or other parts of the body and
never touch when barefoot.
- never pull electrical cables or leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric
agents (rain, sunlight, etc.);
- the appliance power supply cable must never be replaced by the user;
- in the event of damage to the cable, switch off the appliance and contact
exclusively qualified personnel for replacement;
- in the event of prolonged periods of disuse, turn off the main power
switch.
Boiler ignition.
Before lighting, make sure that the system is full of water
and that the manometer (1) indicates a pressure of 1 - 1.2 bar.
- Open the gas valve downstream of the boiler.
- Turn main switch (4) to Domestic or Domestic/Heating.
N.B.:
Once the main switch (4) is turned to one of these positions, the
yellow boiler power indicator lamp (2) will start blinking with long intervals.
With the switch set to (
) the heating regulation selector (6) is inhibited,
and the domestic water temperature is regulated by selector (5).
With the switch set to (
) the heating adjustment selector (6) is used to
regulate the temperature of radiators, while selector (5) is used for the
domestic water, turn the selectors clockwise to raise the temperature,
anticlockwise to lower it.
With no specific indications, it is advisable to keep the domestic water
regulation selector (5) inside the field comfort, as this position provides an
optimum water temperature without forming scale.
Boiler operation is now automatic. With no demand for heat (heating or
domestic hot water production) the boiler goes on “standby” function,
equivalent to the boiler being fed without presence of flame. Each time the
boiler lights up the flame present condition is displayed by means of the
yellow indicator (2) On, located on the control panel.
