Buffer frames

 

When selected will store images in system memory 

to memory   

during capturing. When capturing is complete, the  
images in memory will be flushed to the disk drive.  
Select this option to improve capture performance  
( i.e. the number of frames per second stored to disk ). 
If this option is not selected, images will be stored 
directly to disk and therefore capture performance 
will be limited by the disk’s transfer rate. 

 

Freeze preview

 

When selected will stop the live image in the main  

window while

  

window from updating during capture, otherwise  

capturing

  

 

the image will remain live. Selecting this option  
improves capture performance ( i.e. the number of  
frames per second stored to disk ). 
 

Text Overlay

  

Same as in ‘Single Frames’.
