Application Diagram
Figure 2-1 shows a typical VST
X
transmitter application. The External Equipment Interface connects
to other circuits using a ribbon cable. An antenna is connected to the SMA (or RP-SMA for 25VST )
antenna output port.
The VST
X
may be programmed by a host processor in the application, or it may be pre-configured and
installed in the application without programming during operation. The latter approach can save
expense in cost sensitive applications.
Commonly used configurations can be setup and stored in the VST
X
memory as “preset”
configurations. Up to 16 presets can be stored. Once presets have been stored, fewer commands are
required to change between configurations.
