The thermodynamic cycle is closed thanks to the intake of refrigerator air (Fig 3) and freezer air (Fig 2),
whereby the air heated after the thermal exchange is cooled and dehumidified by the coil. The ice that
accumulates on the coil is periodically removed by means of a system of heating elements, and the result-
ing melt water is collected in the drip tray and routed through the drain tube to the compressor bowl from
which it evaporates.
