Read through these operating instructions fully and carefully. The
operating instructions belong to this product and contain important
points concerning bringing the appliance into service and ist operation.
Also read the operating instructions of the basic set.
Always pay attention to all safety instructions. Should you have any
questions or be unsure about operating the appliance ask a specialist.
Keep these instructions in a safe place and should the need arise pass
them on to a third party.
The additional outdoor station can be used to extend the DVT40 Set. Up
to two outdoor stations can be operated with the wireless video door
intercom.
When the bell button on the outdoor station is pressed, it rings on the
outdoor station itself and on the mobile unit (ring tone, ring duration
and volume can be changed).
A colour picture will be displayed. When it is dark, the white LEDs built
into the outdoor station are activated to illuminate the face of the person
in front of the camera and the image appears in colour. Additional
lighting can be installed to improve the picture quality at low ambient
light levels.
The video and audio transmission is wireless using a frequency of
2.4 GHz.
The following devices can also be connected to the outdoor station if
required:
an electric door release that can be unlocked from the mobile unit
a signal generator (e.g. a bell or a flashing light) that is triggered
when the ring button is pressed
a button to activate a connected door release
The outdoor station is for surface mounting and is weatherproof
(Protection class IP55), it can be mounted in a location outdoors which
is sheltered from direct rainfall.
The outdoor station can be operated either with 2x LR14(C) batteries or
with a 9-12 V DC power adapter (neither supplied).
Any other use or modification of the device is not authorised. No liability
will be accepted for consequential damages or for damages caused by
improper use or incorrect operation. No liability will be accepted for
consequential damages caused by any function or by malfunction.
Unless any liability is specifically required by law, claims for damages,
in particular those for personal injury or property damage caused by
non-functioning or malfunctioning of the machine, are excluded.
This appliance is not intended to be used by people (including children)
with restricted physical, sensory or mental capacities, or a lack of
experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by, or receive
instructions how to use the appliance from a person responsible for their
safety.
