To remove the main shaft encoder sensor
To remove the main shaft encoder sensor, it is necessary to remove the rear bulkhead bolts, which will
alter the hook timing.
1.
Remove the rear left and right plastic panels. (See
To remove the left rear panel
and
To remove the
right rear panel
in section 22,
Front Plastic Panels
.)
2.
Use a 2mm hex tool to loosen the two set screws
that mount the main shaft encoder disc to the main
shaft. Rotate the hand wheel as necessary.
3.
Rotate the main shaft encoder disc so the open
section of the disc is oriented downward and push
the disc along the shaft toward the front of the
machine to get it out of the way of the encoder
sensor. Be careful not to push it too far or it will be
difficult to pull it back into position later.
4. Use a 5mm hex tool to remove the two lower idler
pulleys, being careful not to lose any spacers.
Â
IMPORTANT
: Note which side of the pullleys
the flange is on so you don’t mix up the spacers
during reassembly.
