4. See the image to the right showing the take-up
spring at rest. Retighten the two set screws on
the black collar.
Take-up spring at rest

pushed down to the left.
To replace the take-up spring
1.
With the top tension assembly removed from
the head frame, remove the white piece on the
end of the center tension screw by turning it
counterclockwise.
2.
Slide the barrel and black collar off the center
tension screw. Remove the black plastic take-
up spring tension holder out of the take-up
spring.
NOTE
: The larger shoulder covers the spring
and the smaller diameter goes into the
spring when reinstalled.
3.
Push lightly on the take-up spring loop while
wiggling until the spring pops out of the barrel.
4. Lastly guide the spring loop out the barrel slot.
Replace the take-up spring and other parts in
reverse order.
