Firmly tighten the set screw on the flat first and then the second screw and the step collar.
8. Leveling the Machine
To check whether the machine is level
1.
Check the machine to see if it rocks on a surface plate (precision flat surface, as done during
assembly) or on the carriage on a level frame.
NOTE
: If a frame is not level, it is possible for a perfectly leveled machine or carriage to rock on it.
2.
Check that each wheel mount is fully seated firmly into the lower frame extrusion.
3.
Check the wheels for flat spots or damage.
Adjusting wheel bases
To level the machine

Check that each wheel mount is fully seated firmly into the lower frame extrusion.

Check the wheels for flat spots or damage.
3.
Place the machine on the flattest surface available. This may be the carriage on the frame after the
frame is levelled or on a very flat table or counter.
NOTE
: Most surfaces are not as level as you expect.
4. Use a 5mm hex tool to loosen the three bottom
side extrusion screws on each side.
NOTE
: Loosen the screws a turn or two only,
but do not remove the screws. This will
make more work for you if the screws come
out of their T-nut
5. Wiggle the machine and let it come to its rest
position.
