To adjust the stop finger gap
1.
Use a 2.5mm hex tool to loosen the stop finger
screw and adjust the stop finger gap.
2.
Ensure that the stop finger is tight up against
the machined edge to help hold it into position.
Needle Bar Height Timing
There are two ways to check needle bar height. Needle bar height is either set (1) before the hook is
installed, using a cylinder height gauge, or (2) after the hook is installed and the loop lift adjustment is
made, with a visual check.
For example, during assembly use a cylinder height gauge to set needle bar height first.
However, after the hook is installed and timed, you can check needle bar height to avoid having to remove
the hook to check needle bar height and then have to retime the machine.
NOTE
: Needle bar height has to be set correctly enough before the timing of the machine so that
the needle distance between the hook and scarf can be set correctly. If the scarf is not in the correct
place the hook cannot be set into the scarf, to barely brush the hook point.
