A third green/yellow wire connects the earth
ground terminal of the power supply to one of
the negative DC terminals at the top of the power
supply (the three closest to the front of the
machine).
NOTE
: Newer models do not have the wire
from the top terminal down to the bottom
earth ground terminal.
The AC wires that connect between the bottom
of the power supply and the power inlet (blue
and brown wires) have piggyback terminals that
connect to the tabs on the power inlet. They
enable the AC wires to the Outlet to plug onto the
terminals in a piggyback fashion. Always check
these connectors to ensure they are pressed
completely onto the tabs. The AC wires between
the inlet and outlet have right-angle connectors
intended to connect to the tabs on the outlet.
Â
IMPORTANT
: When connecting the AC wires, remember:
blue = neutral
brown = line or primary
Although the blue wire is labeled neutral, it may actually be powered depending upon how the
power source is wired.
The power outlet and inlet, as well as the 48VDC power supply, are marked with either N or P (sometimes
L) to indicate which wire should be connected to which terminal. Because of the way the 48VDC power
supply is mounted, it is hard to read the markings without removing the power supply. The neutral (blue)
should be connected to the center terminal of the power supply and line (brown) should be connected to
the terminal closest to the front of the machine at the bottom of the power supply.
