M1 Traceability and Type Approval Certification (N4 / N5)
Load bearing parts are documented to provide traceability. Documentation may include chemical and physical
properties of raw material, heat treating, and hardening, tensile and charpy tests as required for the part.
Type Approval Certification (N4 / N5) includes the traceability on load bearing parts as well as other requirements;
any load bearing part replacement must follow the same ordering process to continue certification.
