The basic functions of the NASFinder are described as follows:
Search
Click to poll the presence of NAS server(s) in your local network.
Admin
Allows you to change the Admin account and password.
Set IP
Allows you change the static IP for a NAS server.
Web UI
Opens a web console with the NAS server. You may also open a web
browser and enter the NAS server's IP address in the URL field to open a
web console.
Power Off
Power down the selected NAS server.
Reboot
Reboots the selected NAS server.
WOL
Wake on LAN. Uses this button to remotely power up a NAS server via
network connections.
Remove
Removes a detected NAS server from the managed queue.
File
Opens up a Folder Group in a network share.
If there are multiple NAS servers in your network, you can select the checkboxes in front of
them and enlist them into the management queue.
NOTE:
Admin is a built-in administrator account. It is like the root account in UNIX or the
administrator account in Windows 7. Using this account, users have access to the
administration homepage and all the storage resources. By default, the password for this
user account is "admin." To prevent unauthorized access, it is highly recommended to
change the password after the initial setup.
