Function
The pluggable switch (exterior) switches
itself on and off individually, as controlled
by the user, in response to the remote com
mands it receives. The remote commands
are issued by pressing buttons, by remote
control, via the user interface or pro
gramcontrolled via the central unit.
Hazard warning
• You must not connect more than one
pluggable switch (exterior) in series.
• Do not open the pluggable switch (exte
rior). It does not contain any parts to be
serviced by the user. If a fault occurs,
please contact our service.
• The device is splashproof. In order to
ensure splash water protection, only
splashproof plugs (IPX4) may be used.
• Avoid direct sunlight and other heat
radiation.
• Do not push the pluggable switch (exte
rior) beyond the specified performance
limit.
• Overloading can destroy the device or
cause a fire or an electrical accident.
• The power must be switched off before
connecting the relevant end device to
the pluggable switch.
• Do not connect any end devices to the
pluggable switch (exterior) that could
cause fires or other damage if they are
switched on while unsupervised (e.g.
electric grill, hedge trimmer).
• Always unplug the end device from the
pluggable switch (exterior) before carry
ing out any work on the end device (e.g.
changing the bulb).
• Only use the pluggable switch (exterior)
in permanently installed sockets with
grounding contacts. Do not use it in mul
tiple socket outlets or with extension
leads.
Commissioning
After it has been plugged into the easily
accessible socket, the pluggable switch
(exterior) will try for three minutes to auto
matically integrate itself (LED flashes
briefly every ten seconds). Integrate the
device via the user software in the Smart
Home system.When the device has been
successfully integrated, the LED lights up
for approximately two seconds.
