Stereo LR, LCR and LCRM Busses
Each Aux, Group or Master may be mono, stereo, LCR or
LCRM. Matrices are always mono.
Auxes and Groups
For stereo, LCR or LCRM Auxes and Groups, the console uses
a similar principle to Smart Faders in order to control multi-
channel outputs from very few physical faders.
The individual component channels (LCRM) are controlled from
a single Bus VCA. When the Bus VCA is selected, its slave
channels are deployed into a pre-configured zone - the Smart
Bus zone (SBus):
Note that Groups and Auxes share the same SBus zone, so if
you select a Group, its component channels are deployed to the
same physical faders as when you select an Aux.
Also note that the SBus zone can be two faders (LR), three
faders (LCR) or four faders (LCRM) depending on the widest
Aux or Group you have configured.
Masters
Masters do not share the same SBus zone described above, as
normally there is only one Master on each console and so it
makes more sense to use separate faders to control Master
Left, Master Right, etc.
Note that it is possible to create multiple stereo or LCRM
Masters if you wish. If you do so, then you will need to create a
separate Smart Bus zone (SBus) for the Bus Masters.
