Using your induction cooker

Selecting types of cookware

You need to use cookware that contains magnetic induction materials such as:

• Iron
• Stainless steel
• Enameled stainless steel

Use a magnet to test the bottoms of cookware. If the magnet "sticks," you can use
them with your cooker.
You can use cookware with a diameter (at the base of the cookware) between
5.5 to 8.3 in. (14 to 21 cm).

Setting up your induction cooker

• Make sure that you carefully remove all of the packaging materials.
• Make sure that your cooker is placed horizontally on a flat, firm, dry surface at

least 4 inches (10 cm) away from the wall, curtains, and any other flammable
material.

• Use a dedicated power outlet with more than a 15A capacity, if possible. If you

must plug an appliance into the same power outlet, make sure that the outlet
can handle the combined electrical capacity of your cooker and the other
appliance.

• Never use a universal outlet because it may not meet safety standards and

may cause a fire.

• Your cooker comes with a short power cord to help prevent getting entangled

in or tripping over the cord. If you use an extension cord, make sure that the
extension cord:
• Meets or exceeds the electrical rating of your cooker.
• Doesn’t drape over your cooker or the countertop where children can pull

on it.

Built-in safety protections

Your cooker has built-in safety protections to help prevent damage to your cooker
or a fire.

Over-temperature protection

—If the temperature inside your cooker's body is

too high, your cooker stops heating.

Voltage abnormality or over-current protection

—When the voltage is

abnormal or the current increases abruptly, your cooker stops. After the issues are
solved, your cooker works again normally.

Container detection system

—If you move the cookware while your cooker is

cooking, your cooker stops heating immediately and makes a sound. After about
60 seconds, your cooker automatically enters standby mode.

Automatic shutdown protection

—When the timer expires, your cooker

automatically shuts off until you enter a new cook time.

Note:

Your cooker was tested using type 430 cookware with a bottom diameter

of 7 in. ± .4 in. (18 cm ± 1 cm). Performance using other sizes and types of
cookware may vary.
