A complete server management solution provides four components:
•
Monitoring
: Monitoring the system voltages, temperatures and unit sub-assemblies and providing a mechanism for
notification of the monitored events.
•
Receiving alerts
: When a system problem arises, a proactive alert is sent.
•
Diagnosing
: Once an alert is received, the diagnosis of the server or component problem can begin.
•
Repairing
: Once the problem has been diagnosed, repairs can begin on the failed component. The option for
remote power control and reboot makes this step easier.
