Server Management can meet or exceed the functionality of a remote management card, feature for feature. But
Intel server management is actually offers more features.
Remote management cards typically monitor only a few temperature and voltage sensors because the remote
management card cannot tie into the server management bus. This severely restricts the card to only monitoring sensors
that are physically located on the remote management card, rather than on the server baseboard.
Intel Server Management, on the other hand, manages a wide range of sensors located on the server baseboard itself.
This greatly increases the breadth of server health indicators, and it increases the accuracy of the health indicators.
