4. Chassis Peripheral Bays
The SR2300 server chassis provides six hard drive bays at the front of the chassis. An optional
seventh drive may be used in the flex bay. All hard drive bays may be populated with a tray-
mounted 3.5” hard disk drive. If a configuration requires the use of a floppy disk drive and CD-
ROM or DVD drive, an optional Floppy/CDROM or Floppy/DVD module may be used in place of
the seventh hard drive in the flex bay. A tape drive bay is located below the flex bay.
