How to Align the Running Belt
During running or walking, your left and right foot may exert different force to the running belt. This will cause the
running belt to run off centered. Intenza 550 series treadmill is designed and built to ensure proper belt tracking so
that it will automatically re-centered by itself. Occasionally the belt may need further adjustment to keep it centered.
To center the belt, use the enclosed T wrench to adjust the rear roller position.
Running belt centering procedure
1.
Never turn the bolts more than 1/4 turn at a time.
2.
Always tighten one side and loosen the other to prevent over tightening the belt.
3.
Turn on the treadmill. Adjust belt while the treadmill is running at 4 mph (6.4 kph) with no person on the
running
belt.
If belt is too far to the left side
1.
Turn the left roller bolt 1/4 turn clockwise (to tighten)
2.
Turn the right roller bolt 1/4 turn counterclockwise (to loosen)
If belt is too far to the right side
1.
Turn the right roller bolt 1/4 turn clockwise (tighten)
2.
Turn the left roller bolt 1/4 turn counterclockwise (loosen)
NOTE
1.
After the adjustment, walk on the belt for five minutes to test. If the belt still slips, repeat the procedure but never
turn the bolts more than 1/4 turn at a time. Over tightening the belt can significantly shorten the belt life.
2.
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, always unplug the treadmill from the electrical outlet after using and
before
cleaning.
3.
For Entertainment console, you should press the console power button to put the equipment into energy saving
mode first, then unplug the power cord or switch off the equipment.
