7. Sub-menu Area
This sub-menu area represents different sub-menu every main menu as described in the paragraph 6.
Various menu appear as in [Fig. III-4]depending on which menu the user selected and detailed descrip-
tions of each part are provided in the relevant section.
8. Broadcasting Mode
These are icons representing patterns currently broadcasted and you automatically or manually select or
release four broadcasting modes provided by the VMX-1104 for convenience of users.

ONAIR Broadcasting Mode
•This is general broadcasting and results that the user operate are broadcast.
COLORBAR Broadcasting Mode
•This means pattern that COLORBAR is output to the main output, and is automatically
selected or released by transition effect performance function during editing Edit
Screen or Multi PIP function.
Practice Broadcasting Mode
•In this mode, results of user’s operation is output to the only Preview of the operator
screen and is not output to the main output.
This mode is automatically selected or released by transition effect performance func-
tion during editing Single IPI or Chroma Key and in order case, this mode can be man-
ually selected or released and in order case this mode can be manually selected or
released and you can practice various effects evening during active air or recording.
This is function of the VMX-1104 that users not familiar with the VMX-1104 can con-
veniently use.
DEMO Broadcasting Mode
•This mode is mode to most of functions that the VMX-1104 in series of order and can
be effectively used in demonstration of products such as exhibition show.
During DEMO broadcasting mode, all functions of buttons and mouse except for
DEMO OFF function are not performed and thus this mode prevents from DEMO
broadcasting mode being turned off on account of users’ or audiences’ mistakes.
