ARTED
Receiving Outside Calls
To receive an outside call:
EITHER,
Lift the handset.
OR,
Press
.
Depending on how your system is programmed, you may be able to use one of the
following methods instead of pressing
:
•
Press the flashing
CALL
button, if you have one.
•
Press the flashing
LINE
button, if you have one.
To redirect a ringing call to another extension or outside number:
1.
Press
and dial
.
2.
Enter the extension or outside number to which you want to redirect the call. See
for more information.
Emergency Calls
With the telephone system, you do not have to access an outside line (by pressing
) to dial an emergency number.
To make an emergency call:
Dial
.
A call is automatically placed to the preset emergency number.
NOTE:

in Europe for emergency services.
Call Waiting
If you receive a call while you are already on another call, you will hear a “call wait-
ing” tone and/or you will see a display.
To respond to a waiting call (you hear a single tone and a button is flashing):
•
To end the current call:
Hang up. The waiting call rings in.
•
To place the current call on hold:
Press
. Then press the flashing button
to answer the waiting call.
