it down while inserting the wheel into the wheel receptacle.
3
. When removing and attaching the wheels, make sure that the drum brakes
are released because otherwise it will not be possible to remove or attach
the wheels.

It is advisable to slide the anti-tipping bracket back prior to removing the
rear wheels in order to prevent the frame of the AKTIVLINE basic model from

Undercarriage folding mechanism
If you have chosen an AKTIVLINE
with removable seat unit, then you
will be able to use a folding mecha-
nism to fold the AKTIVLINE under-
carriage down to a much smaller
size for easier transport.
To do so, proceed as follows:
4
. Remove the seat shell system
from the undercarriage (see
Section
4
.
1
).
5
. Then loosen the spring-loaded locking system for the folding mechanism on
the push bar by pressing down on the central cable system (Fig.
7
) connecting
the two perforated plates to the bottom of the two back posts and simultane-
ously swiveling the push bar forward until it comes into contact with the top
frame of the undercarriage.
6
. Remove both rear wheels equipped with floating axles from the undercar-
riage. To do this, raise the undercarriage slightly so that the rear wheel to
be removed is no longer in contact with the ground. Grasp the spokes on the
rear wheel and use your thumb to press the button located at the center of
the wheel axle. Keep the button pressed down and pull the wheel out of the
axle receptacle. Make sure that the brake has been deactivated on the wheel
being removed!
7
. Repeat the same steps with the second rear wheel. The undercarriage is now
ready for transport.
