descents� In such cases, engage the parking brake, as needed, by pressing
it into the first or second ratchet position only�

Deactivating the parking brake
In order to deactivate the parking
brake (Fig�
19
), proceed as follows:
Deactivate the locking mechanism
by activating the ratchet lever and
allowing the brake lever to glide
back into the starting position� You
may need to release the ratchet le-
ver further by pulling slightly on the
brake lever before the brake can be
deactivated�
8. Maintenance and care
The following section contains some instructions regarding the maintenance of
the MINY seat unit wheelchair� For repairs and maintenance or if you have any
questions about MINY, please always contact your specialist dealer�
After a repair the specialist dealer must conduct a performance test and confirm
that the MINY is in a condition that is safe for use�

Checking the tyre pressure
MINY features pneumatic tyres as standard� In order to keep rolling resistance to
an absolute minimum, you should check the tyre pressure at regular intervals�
The tyres are standardly equipped with automobile valves, so you can check the
pressure by using the tyre gauge at your local petrol station� The required filling
pressure is printed on the tyres and is also specified in Section
6
(“Admissible
tyre pressure”) of these instructions�
