Set the satellite address using DIP switches (see
“
Address DIP
switch
”
on page 2). Set the bus termination switch (TERM
jumper), if required.
Place the satellite cover onto the base and snap in place.
Tighten the locking screw at the base until the satellite cover is
firm. Do not overtighten.

System databus
The system databus is used to connect remote devices to the
Advisor Advanced control panel. Remote devices can be up to
1.5 km from a control panel.
Remote devices must be connected via a 2 pair twisted
shielded data cable from the system databus connection.
(WCAT 52 is recommended).
The shield of the data cable should be connected to earth at
the ATS control panel, and to each earth terminal (CON8,
Figure 1, item 17) at ATS1521N in series.
Observe the correct polarity while connecting the system
databus. C
onnect: D+, D−, 0
V, 12 V signals on the same
connectors of ATS1521N and Advisor Advanced panel.
Caution:
Special care should be taken while connecting ATS
LAN system databus signals (0 V, 12 V). Reversing the polarity
can cause a damage of the ATS1521N module.
Audio bus
Use a shielded twisted pair cable for the audio bus connection
(for example, WCAT52).
Observe the correct polarity while connecting the audio bus.
Connect A+ on ATS1521N to A+ on ATS1520/ATS1521N, and
so
A− to A−.
The shield of the audio cable should be connected to earth at
the ATS control panel, and to each earth terminal (CON8,
Figure 1, item 17) at ATS1521N in series.
ATS1522N bus
Use this bus to connect up to three ATS1522N audio satellites
in parallel to ATS1521N.
Use a shielded twisted pair cable for the ATS1522N bus
connection (for example, WCAT52).
The shield of the cable should be connected to earth at the
ATS control panel, and to each earth terminal (CON8,
Figure 1, item 17) at ATS1521N and ATS1522N in series.
Observe the correct polarity while connecting the ATS1522N
bus. See Table 1 below.
