The parts inside the heater are
HOT
when in operation. Use
gloves when adjusting the mixing valve.
Turning the mixing valve knob clockwise will decrease the hot
water outlet temperature and turning the knob counter-clockwise
will increase the temperature.
8.8 Activating Engine Heat & Pre-heat
Burner and or AC Heat On
Pre-heating the engine (optional)

In order to use the engine pre-heat feature, and optional
externally mounted pump must be installed (
see fig. 7-5 sec.

). Switch the engine pre-heat switch on the Remote
Operating Panel to the ON position with the burner and or AC
switch turned ON. The engine pre-heat pump and coolant
distribution pump (Summer pump) will be activated once the
Hurricane
®
Chinook Heating System is within its set operating
temperature range. The engine will be preheated by the
Hurricane
®
Chinook Heating System.
