control board will function as if it is controlling a two-loop
space heating system. In this configuration the Zone control
board will not activate the Hurricane
®
Chinook’s single
circulation pump when the thermostat(s) in zones 3, 4, and 5
call for heat. This which will result in cold air blowing from the
fans in these zones.
•
When the Engine Pre-Heat switch is turned ON, the Zone
Control Board will turn on the Summer Pump and circulate hot
coolant from the heater through the section of the heat
exchanger that transfers heat to the engine coolant. At the
same time, the engine pre-heat pump will turn ON and
circulate engine coolant through the corresponding side of the
heat exchanger.
•
When potable hot water is turned ON, the Zone Control Board
will turn on the Summer Pump and circulate hot coolant
through the section of the heat exchanger that transfers heat
to the potable water.
•
When the Burner is turned ON, the Zone Control Board will
turn on the Summer Pump and circulate hot coolant through
the heaters internal circuit, to provide even heating in the
coolant tank.
