immediately or just wait a few seconds until the number of the
channel stops flashing; the new number is now automatically
stored and TRIBE returns to the standby mode.
NOTES: In standby mode, TRIBE is always ready to receive incoming
communications from other devices set on the same channel; when
TRIBE receives a signal the RX (reception) symbol is displayed.
3.2 Selecting the CTCSS subchannel
a. Turn TRIBE on (see point 2.1)
b. Press the MENU button twice – the number of the subchannel in
the top right corner starts flashing, make sure that the letters
CTCSS are by the side of it
c. Press the UP or DOWN button to select the subchannel number
wanted; you can select channels 0 to 38 and vice versa.
d. Press the MENU button once to store the subchannel chosen
immediately or just wait a few seconds until the number of the
subchannel stops flashing; the new number is now automatically
stored and TRIBE returns to the standby mode.
3.3 Selecting the advanced DCS digital codes
a. Turn TRIBE on (see point 2.1)
b. Press the MENU button three times – the number of the digital
code in the top right corner starts flashing, make sure that the
letters DCS are by the side of it
c. Press the UP or DOWN button to select the digital code number
wanted; you can select digital codes from 0 to 83 and vice versa.
d. Press the MENU button once to store the digital code chosen
immediately or just wait a few seconds until the number of the
digital code stops flashing; the new number is now automatically
stored and TRIBE returns to the standby mode.
3.4 Activating automatic channel scanning
Automatic channel scanning searches all 8 channels continuously to
find radio signals.
The search may also be done on all 38 CTCSS codes and on all the 83
DCS codes.
NOTES: automatic channel scanning may only be done when TRIBE
is connected to its Bluetooth® audio device.
If there is no headset connected and you press MENU scanning is not
interrupted; to interrupt the search connect an audio device or turn
TRIBE off.
