Positioning Back

Installing/Removing the Back Cushion Cover

 

WARNING

The back cushion cover is designed to protect the foam from moisture and to provide fire retar-

dancy. DO NOT use the back cushion without the cushion cover. If the cover is torn, it MUST be 

replaced IMMEDIATELY.

NOTE:

 

To

 

remove

 

the

 

back

 

cushion

 

from

 

the

 

back

 

cushion

 

cover,

 

reverse

 

this

 

procedure.

1.

Flip

 

the

 

rear

 

upholstery

 

flap

 

up

 

and

 

away

 

from

 

the

 

back

 

cushion.

2.

Separate

 

the

 

hook

 

and

 

loop

 

strips

 

at

 

the

 

bottom

 

of

 

the

 

back

 

cushion

 

upholstery.

3.

Pull

 

the

 

foam

 

out

 

of

 

the

 

back

 

cushion

 

cover.

Cleaning

Regular

 

inspection

 

of

 

parts

 

including

 

hardware,

 

brackets,

 

upholstery

 

materials,

 

foams,

 

and

 

plastics,

 

for

 

deformation,

 

corrosion,

 

breakage,

 

wear

 

or

 

compression

 

is

 

recommended.

 

WARNING

DO NOT continue to use this product if any of the upholstery materials, foams, and/or plastics are 

found to be deformed, breaking, worn, and/or compressed. Corrective maintenance can be 

performed at or arranged through your equipment supplier.
The back cushion cover is designed to protect the foam from moisture and to provide fire 

retardancy. DO NOT use the back cushion without the cushion cover. If the cover is torn, it 

MUST be replaced IMMEDIATELY.
Continued use with absent or damaged cover by an incontinent user can result in severe skin 

irritation, infection, and other skin care issues.

Back Shell

Regular

 

cleaning

 

and

 

inspection

 

of

 

the

 

back

 

shell

 

is

 

recommended.

 

Wipe

 

the

 

entire

 

surface

 

with

 

a

 

damp

 

cloth.

Outer Cover

CAUTION

DO NOT use fabric softeners or bleach. DO NOT machine dry. Air dry only. DO NOT dry in 

sun.

Regular

 

cleaning

 

and

 

inspection

 

of

 

the

 

outer

 

cover

 

is

 

recommended.

NOTE:

 

Before

 

laundering

 

the

 

outer

 

cover,

 

remove

 

the

 

foam.

Machine

 

wash

 

the

 

outer

 

cover

 

in

 

cold

 

water

 

on

 

gentle

 

cycle

 

using

 

a

 

mild

 

detergent.

Foam

The

 

foam

 

MUST

 

be

 

replaced

 

if

 

it

 

becomes

 

contaminated

 

because

 

of

 

incontinence.

 

The

 

foam

 

is

 

absorbent

 

and

 

cannot

 

be

 

cleaned

.
